Identification of the Optimum Environments for the High Yield and Quality Traits of Lentil Genotypes Evaluated in Multi-Location Trials

Lentil is a versatile and profitable pulse crop with high nutritional food feed values. The objectives of the study were to determine suitable locations for yield quality in terms production and/or breeding, identify promising genotypes. For this reason, five lentil genotypes evaluated multi-location network consisting ten diverse sites two consecutive growing seasons, seed (SY), other agronomic traits, crude protein (CP), cooking time (CT) (CPY). A significant diversification specialization was identified regards SY, CP, CT CPY. Different showed optimal values each trait. Locations E4 E3, followed by E10, “ideal” SY; E1, E3 E7 ideal CP; E5, E2. Therefore, scope cultivation determined optimum cultivation. GGE-biplot analysis revealed different discriminating abilities representativeness among identification most productive stable Location (Orestiada, Region Thrace) recognized as being it or close selection superior Adaptable (cv. Dimitra, Samos) SY along excellent CPY, are suggested either many regions be exploited breeding programs.
